Reflections on The Yoga Expo 2025 – Sharing Tatami Culture in Los Angeles

On April 13th, 2025, we had the incredible opportunity to exhibit at The Yoga Expo 2025 in Los Angeles, held at the Pasadena Convention Center. It was our very first time participating in a large-scale yoga event in the United States, and we are grateful for the meaningful connections we made throughout the day.

Kohaku's booth at The Yoga Expo 2025 featuring tatami yoga mats, placemats, coasters, and mini tatami displays. The table includes product samples, brochures, giveaway signs, rush grass in a vase, and an iPad showing promotional content.

From morning until evening, we were surrounded by passionate yoga instructors, devoted practitioners, wellness enthusiasts, and fellow vendors from all over the world. The energy was vibrant, open, and inspiring. We were deeply moved by how many people took the time to visit our booth, ask thoughtful questions, and share their impressions.

At our booth, we showcased and sold not only our signature Tatami Yoga Mats, but also placemats, coasters, and mini tatami—products designed to bring the essence of tatami into everyday life. Many people who encountered tatami for the first time told us how beautiful and unique they found our products. They were especially intrigued by the natural scent of rush grass and the detailed craftsmanship of the weaving patterns.

To be able to share a part of Japanese tradition in a foreign land like this was truly special to us. Tatami is more than just a material—it represents a lifestyle rooted in nature, mindfulness, and simplicity. Seeing the appreciation and curiosity in the eyes of our visitors reminded us why we started this journey in the first place.

We are honored that so many people resonated with our vision, and we feel even more encouraged to continue pushing forward. This experience was a reminder that even small efforts to share culture can have a meaningful impact when done with heart.

As we move forward, we will continue to embrace new challenges and look for opportunities to bring tatami into the global wellness community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, offered kind words, or supported us in any way. Your encouragement means the world to us.

Please continue to follow and support our journey—we’re just getting started.
